All galaxies will down for maintenance at 9:15 AM PST (5:15 PM GMT) today, November 21, 2008. The server maintenance and downtime is required to address an issue causing long travel and connection times across the galaxies. When the update is complete, galaxies will be live but unavailable while we complete final testing. Galaxies will be made available after that time.

The estimated downtime is approximately two hours.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

On Thursday, November 20, at 4:00 AM PST all U.S. and European galaxies were taken down for server maintenance and a live update.

The first ever Star Wars® trading card game offered exclusively online has come to a galaxy near you! Choose between the light and dark sides of the Force and build your own Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game decks to fight virtual matches for the Rebels, Imperials, Jedi or Sith.

Players can find more than 20 "loot" cards that can be redeemed for fantastic virtual items for use within the Star Wars Galaxies. Everyone who tries the Trading Card Game at launch is eligible to receive a special loot card that can be redeemed in Star Wars Galaxies for the choice of either a Rebel flight suit or Imperial flight suit.*
